ORIGIN - ORIGINALITY:

A New Wave of Thai Art

*** Artworks from this exhibition have found a new home at SUDA Thai Café Restaurant with Art@Suda project. For more information please visit http://www.artatsuda.blogspot.co.uk/

Presented for the first time in London, these three young Thai artists will challenge your perceptions of Southeast Asian Art. Tatiya Udomsawat and PeerawaytKrasaesom are among the most talented artists of a new generation.
Also featured here is a leading artist, MaitreeSiriboon. His staged photography has gained him recognition worldwide featuring in a Christie’s Auction and
exhibitions from Paris to New York.

In this age of cultural globalization, their works are far cry from being traditional. Yet, each piece can be traced back to the past, to the artists’ childhood memories and the origin of their individuality and creativity. Here, the local and the global,
the past and the future are inseparable.

Curated by Nim Niyomsin, this exhibition will be showcased at Forty7 Gallery on Vyner Street joining the diverse and vibrant art scene of East London.

Exhibition Runs: 4th -14th October 2012, 11am-6pm
Forty7 Gallery
